I don't think this will happen. It looks like SK Telecom may invest and have some kind of joint venture with Sprint. Just like the other foreign MVNO of Sprint. I don't think Sprint will allow other manufactured phones at the moment. I believe in the near future, there will be more manufacture store such as Sony, Samsung, Nokia, and LG that will sell wireless devices that will allow you to pick the network of your choice.
