vendor call centers

I just have a quick rant, and that would be... VENDOR CALL CENTERS GET THE SHAFT!! K now let me explain why, first off, I happen to work in a vendor center that is so highly ranked that we were chosen to take the "red phone" or store calls as well as a bgn center. But we get none of the perks like the corporate centers do, we get no practically free service, we get no awesome phones, if we want service the most we get is a lousy 6 or 8% nvp discount! It makes me want to cry. I don't even want to know how much corporate centers make as far as pay goes. Oh well thats life I guess huh. Oh btw sprint canceling customers accounts for calling too much... HAHAHA CRAZY i could only hope it happens to a certain few people, i.e the man from new York w...

Here's what gives, bottom line. You work for a third party thus not entitled to the perks and benefits of corporate Sprint just as the Solectron employees who server as repair technicians in corporate Verizon Wireless retail stores don't get any from Verizon Wireless. BTW, corporate call center employees make quite a bit more than third party ones. A friend of mine works for one and she make alomst as much as me when you take in consideration their bonus structure and incentives. Pack your bags buddy and come work for corporate Sprint.

Hey man, I know how you feel, I work for a third party center too. Here is the ironic thing, we get 10% off of Sprint, & we get 12% off of Cingular. Shows how much Sprint cares about the people who work for them. In response to the other guy who wanted you to "pack up" & go work for the actual Sprint, all I gotta say is good luck with that. I've been working with Sprint for more than 2 years, I'm probably one of the most knowledgeable in my entire call center as far as anything we're working with, & Sprint won't even bother to call me or send me a response email when I apply to them. I think that you must have to know someone on the inside, cause they obviously don't care how much you know, or how good of a worker you are.

For the record im a chick... but thats ok lol. Anyway, I hate sprint, i hate the majority of the higher ups in my center i had the way they operate business. I hate the way they screw over employees and when they finally fix something we've complained about enough, they make something else completely ****ty to make up for it. BUT its the best paying job around here since im too broke/stupid to go to college so im STUCK. At least till i marry into a rich family or win the lottery, in which case i'll buy sprint! hahaha.

Yeah o know how you feel too...i also worked for a 3rd party then moved to a Sprint retail store here in Salt Lake City, but i'll tell you this bro when i was working for our 3rd party (Tpusa) i loved it. I remember the dumbest callers would be the Sprint EMPLOYEES themselves. They asked the dumbest questions and sounded like new customers when they called in. Truth be told bro, i would prefer working at the call center than having to deal with whining customers at a sprint store. I actually made more money at the call center than in the stores. We were an inbound sales department for Sprint and we made $5 for cold phones, $7 for new activations. Which is a good thing for being primarily an INBOUND sales department. At the store im at now i ...

I work for a third party vendor too but we get 20% nvp off but i know my third party vendor company screws sprint and its employees in pay. but it an easy job 80 percent of the time and i guess i cant complain. But i would love the chance to do tech support for a corp sprint calling center and i know the pay is atleaest 2 times more than what i get here!

One think you have to realize about new yorkers: swearing is NOTHING to them. I wouldn't take it too personally. An episode of the Sopranos is just the tip of the iceberg of swearing that Jersey/Yorkers use on a daily minute. When they get just a little itty bitty mad, the F word is very abused.

Try not to take too much offense. It's New York.

I work for bwts and they treat use great here and the benefits are awesome. If you want a job they are building up our dept like crazy and there is also inbound natl sales here also. I am sorry for what your a going thru there and I can say I know what it is like.
