is sprint leaning to much on function?

ya ya I'm probably going to get bashed for this but really, sprint may be "ahead" on function and may be favored in the business world. but i think ( here comes the bashing) that sprint is not ahead of form factor and style. i feel that sprint is last in that race. i just think that sprint should start expanding their horizon and start looking at the phone it's self. you can't just sell and great functioning phone but with a crappy design, its like selling...selling a TV. with the greatest hd capability and the greatest sound system but with a 3 inch screen. look all I'm saying is maybe sprint should balance their priorities.

Sprint is a service provider, that probably has zero to slim on the manufactures design.

Sprint is the only US carrier offering the upstage or a phone like it. Sprint picked it up and over promoted it thinking it would be a huge hit as well as the chocolate killer, unfortunately my opinion is that they were highly mistaken.

It's nice to voice your opinion. The Upstage wasn't a Chocolate killer. Sprint was trying to prepare for the iPhone (iPod).

While I agree with you on that point from a marketing standpoint, I do disagree that they brought out the Upstage as an iPhone killer.

I just spoke with a few people and they agree that the Upstage is more of a Chocolate killer rather than iPhone killer.

Do a google search and check out the past news letters from Sprint.com. 😉

Walker is retarded. Sprint has plenty of great phones. The iPhone is a piece and half the people that have bought it have realized it was within a weekend. 🤣

upstage: anything but competition with the iPhone. It's only comparable to the Nano, somewhat.

Chocolate killer? Yes. But that's not very difficult.

Sprint just isn't "hip" enough. Their ads aimed at teens suck. The nextel ads? Hilarious.

I agree with the ads, but Sprint wasn't directing this phone to the LG Chocolate while Sprint has the LG Fusic. This phone was intended for the music fans, what the iPhone was marketing. The Upstage, in my opinion isn't a Chocolate killer or iPhone killer. This phone was manufatured and advertised by Samsung as their "Ultra" line at 3GSM. Sprint happened to work with Samsung to get the Upstage.

I disagree. Compare the Chocolate and the Upstage. The LG Fusic is old, nobody wants it anymore. The new LG Muziq is coming out. But I think upstage competes with the Chocolate. Both are for music fans. The chocolate is horrible, although vers. 2 looks promising.

I think the LG Prada phone will be marketed in the U.S. as the iPhone killer.

It is a GSM phone at the time, and most likely will make it's way to GSM and CDMA America.
