sprint and tmobile are going to be similar. however I used to have sprint. the coverage was inconsistent. horible in areas that are a given, like downtown seattle. great coverage in wierd areas. the most frustrating thing was the incompetance of the reps. I broke the charger for my phone and for a month they told me there were none available. untill I went to the 5th sprint store i checked. it turned out it had a different model number to cover a new phone that came out. I was also charged for the ringers and more option for a year even though every month I called to have it removed every month. at that time they were charging $3 every time you called in to talk to a customer service rep ( I believe they have stopped charging now) w...

I have the nation plan with 850 rollover minutes unlimited mobile to mobile and unlimited night and weekends plus a second phone. its a 69.99 plan for both lines and ends up being 80-85 bucks a month however taxes will vary depending on state and city taxes. I have actually been looking at both those phones, but I have heard that the motorola razr will be out in a few weeks so I am holding out for that. the mpx220 is by far a better phone than the samsung. I had a samsung with sprint, and cingular and they both had to be replaced under warranty

no I have talked to cingular reps who have already won the razr from a contest, and are just waiting for it to ship in early november. they also said that their operations team already has the razr and is testing it in the field. I am not sure if t-mobile will get it. the a630 is already available to pre-order off amazon for cingular, but I dont think I saw it for t-mobile although I could be wrong

TMo is getting the A630 for sure. I don't know about the razr. If you want to go to cingular, that would be ok, but don't go to sprint. they suck in every way. billing, service, coverage, etc.

Just so you know, Sprint just rolled out a new family plan in southern Indiana under Ubiquitel. This new plan is 2000 minutes shared, including unlimited PCS-to-PCS, Unlimited Vision on both phones as long as you keep the plan. This also includes unlimited nights and weekends, that can start at 7 p.m. for all the lines on the account for $7. Additional lines are $9.99 apiece with vision for an additional $5 for each line. That is a damn good plan.

They're not better. Stay with T-Mo.
I've been with T-Mobile for 13 months and I've been working for Sprint for 10. There are plenty of reasons why I haven't given in to the siren song of that fat employee discount.

Sprint's signal is inferior where I live. I get great signal and building penetration with my T-Mo phone, where Sprint customers I know don't get squat.

T-Mobile customer care is the best in the industry, and I speak from personal experience there, not some JD Power hype.

On T-Mobile, I pay $60/month for 600 minutes, unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited Internet, 1000 SMS text messages, an...

I partially agree, however if you want a signal that will penetrate buildings than cingular is the way to go. tmo and cingular both use 1900mhz wich is decent for penetrating. but cingular also uses 850 which last I heard tmo hadnt released. that is the best frequency for penetration on the market right now

neither do, look at a sprint coverage map, the dark green is sprints network, light green is roaming. its pretty decieving. tmobiles coverage is very similar but alot easier to read their map. then look at cingulars. afterwards it will be a no brainer

verizons map may look like it has better coverage, but look at all the different colors, and what they mean. with cingular there is no roaming and no long distance, period!

When looking at the sprint map the light green is indeed roaming but you can access it all for 5 dollars a month. I was going to switch to verizon but Sprint's coverage is just as good if not better for 5 bucks.

When I went to OHIO i roamed on digital network...probably verizon or all-tell. Worked pretty good. I did get some analog roaming as well admittedly.

Here is what you do! TRY IT YOURSELF!

Sprint PCS gives a 14 day money back garauntee!

Try it out for 14 days and if the service or the phone does not suite you needs, then return it for a FULL refund, and pay only for what you have USED! The refund also includes the activation fee. Basically if you use the phone for 10 out of 14 days, you will only have to pay for those 10 days you had the phone.
