Must Read: For all Palm Treo 700p users or wannabes (not meaning RC)
Okay so I do a lot of phone switching, and after trying the Treo 700wx for a good amount of time I can officially say its junk.
Sales people (me being a former one) please let customers know that a majority (a large majority) of programs will not work on the Treo 700wx. Reason being, look at an Ipaq or a PPC 6700, 6800. The first thing that will grab your eye is that larger screen. WELL GUESS WHAT! Most programs are written for that larger screen. Making the Treo 700w/wx useless. Or atleast hard to get software for.
But on to the bread and butter of this post:
I switched now to the Treo 700p and wow!!! The software support is phenomonal.
My personal must have list:
HandZipper: unzip files on your pda direct from the browser

i have always knew palm was so much better, i actually suggest it over the 700wx even b4 i knew all this info. also the windows version cant watch tv on it and the palm can 😁

i tell people that all of the current palm users stick with the palm because its more reliable windows is junk. on a treo on whatever it sucks

Windows Mobile is okay with the right hardware, I like the 6700 and look forward to the 6800, but the Treo 700wx is a $650 paperweight imho.

OmniRemote, control any device that uses infrared, so unlock your car, if your security system is from the 80's. Or Program it to control TV and DVD blah blah blah, Sadly the short range of IR with the Treo leaves something to be desired, still a nice add.
Toccer, a very nice AIM messaging program.

Everyone that has a treo 700p...including me..has known this and has been enjoying this for over a year now...and needs something new and better...so i ask...whats next..year's up whats new...???? Everyone should have known the 700w would be garbage...i mean..would you put a Windows on a apple computer? no would you put a lambo engine in a ferrari? no something's just dont mix.
