Yes its a Mill Spec phone with NO Camera, how many of those do you see in sprint current lineup?

The reason why it is so special is that this phone is the FIRST CDMA phone to have an AUTONOMOUS GPS. What this means is it is always on like the stand-alone GPS and you can use it as a Stand-alone GPS receiver (bluetooth/USB) with your NMEA compatible GPS Apps.

i want to know where you got that info, and how anyone expects it to work.
everything that people are calling "GPS" on cell phones right now is actually A-GPS, or assisted GPS, which is not Global Positioning System at all, or even global. it is a simple triangulation done by cellphone towers.
now that everone understands that, i dont see how off network "GPS" is expected to work, unless some idiot decided that the first cell phone in the world to be given a real GPS chip would be a low-end sanyo...

A lot of features of this phone have changed since the beta version I saw a few months ago. That one had Ev-DO, a color external display and "autonomour" (sp?) GPS which I understood to be exactly what Corpsman-Up is describing. Besides the changes from EV-DO and color external display, now I can't find anything about this different GPS technology this phone was supposed to have... strange... 😕
