# transfer to prepaid

Is it possible to transfer a # from cingular to a tmobile prepaid account? 😁

Sure is, you can do it at anytime, weather it be at activation or anytime down the road. Number portability allows you to keep your number no matter what. prepay-post pay, landline-mobile, company-company etc... and vise versa

The only thing I could think of where you wouldn't be able to do that is if you're in a cingular market (or have a number from that market)that T-Mobile doesnn't have liscences for local exchanges. I really don't know how that aspect of porting works. You can call 1-800-937-8997 for post pay cust care or 1-877-778-2106 for prepay customer care (hint: just keep pressing "0" until you get to a CC rep. The new voice recognition system lets just say is still very touchy, but we're working hard on it!)

You don't even have to call. Just go online and you can check to see if your number is eligible. www.t-mobile.com.
