Anyone know when T-Mobile will introduce some decent quality bar-phones??? The 6010 was the last of the die-hard mohicans. The V195 the last of great clam-shells. I pray they wake up and smell the market soon!! ☹️

I know what you mean. We are with AT&T, but when we had to give up our TDMA phones and switch to GSM years ago I got my wife and I two Nokia 6010s. Great phone, and my wife is still using hers. Even has a Nokia car kit in her car. She loves it and would not give it up. We still have mine as a backup to hers if it ever shoots craps.

Because I had to carry a Nextel for my job, I wanted something smaller, and bought a Motorola V557. A great phone, works great for me in KC MO area, and I grew to like it so much I bought two more as backups. I'm not into the bells and whistles of the newer phones, I just use my phone as a phone. I do not expect to have to buy any new phones for quite a long time.

My mother is the basic type and has had great luck with her Nokia 2610 so far.

Although not TMO branded after tweaking the settings for web it'll work.
But either way it's one of the best, have to look for it on E-Bay.

Good phone but not really a basic type phone lol. I remember when it dropped. It was leagues ahead of most phones.

Srs I'd get a Sony ericson tm506. Its nice compact and pretty sturdy for a flip. For a bar phone? It's gonna be pretty hard i don't think most people like bar types that much anymore. The basic bar phone on the market aren't too hot. I think its more of the manufac decison on that one but maybe not.
