DASH and accessing the internet "these days."

Long time T-mo customer here. I have the Dash. Recently, I haven't been able to access the internet. I have the T-zones plan, not the expensive internet plan. My former phone was an SDA and I hacked it to access the internet. When the SDA finally died, T-mo replaced it with the DASH and it accessed the net fine... until about a month or so ago. I finally got around to calling DASH technical support and got their typical song and dance about them finally updating their system and closing the hack hole, but I've heard this all before.

My question: What's the real story? Did they finally close the hackable port or can I still hack into the internet? If I can, can someone supply me the hack for the DASH, please? I'm way beyond my contract and...

Is T-Mobile offereing a Dash as an alternate warranty replacement for the SDA? I'm having audio problems with my SDA and that would be cool if they were!

The exploit has been "fixed". Ive had a few customers and on different phones come in to complain about this.

Even at $30 a month, T-Mo wireless internet is still cheaper than anything out there, though it's also slower.

But be honest, you have no room to complain, you got $6 internet access for probably a long time.

In a way I did, but by and large, no: I had so many problems with my SDA right out of the gate and it was so "new" to T-mo, that none of the upper level support even knew anything about the device. I had to come here or other phone sites for 'support.' Once it was able to access, the browser wouldn't access some perfectly normal sites and kept giving me a strange error message (the exact message escapes me now). At any rate, the download was so slow that I seldom if ever used it. When I got the Dash, it seemed faster and accessed all sites well (mobile 6 perhaps? more ram?).

True enough that the plan is still cheaper than most, but, without a doubt, the coverage and voice quality is the worst (and I've tried them all). I only chose Tmobi...
