Anyone know when the $29.99 data plan expires for Cingular? I am sure it's promotional...

It's not promotional. It's an add-on for non-corporate users.

I'd tell you more about it, but the dang link in CSP doesn't work. There's gotta be a catch though. It says unlimited email, HTML browsing and MEdiaNet for $29.99, but does that mean it's not blackberry connect push email? There's gotta be something missing from this package to make it so cheap.

The push is definitely there. I've sold like five since they changed it, and they've all worked seamlessly.

But there MUST be SOME difference between this and the $44.99.

The Vert doesn't pay as much? They really need to cut our cost on PDAs and Blackberrys. The current data features are freaking high, but without them we go in the hole by selling a data device.

Perhaps they are attempting to come close to competing with Tmobile's 19.99 add on? I would pay the $10 more just so I could have better service as well.

I was told this wouldn't let you recieve corporate emails. In other words emails that are on a closed system. I could be wrong but this was the only difference i was informed of...

BES is 44.99
BIS is 34.99 or 29.99 as a add-on to a voice plan.
BES = Blackberry Enterprise Service for corporate customers
BIS = Blackberry Internet Service for non-corporate customers
Still able to get push from Yahoo (premium), Google, AOL, Hotmail, certail DSL/Cable email accounts. Some email providers such as Yahoo, Fastmail, Excite etc...require subscription to premium service before linkage to a BB device...or forwarding of emails...

I just got a BB and looked into Yahoo's Mail Plus service since I've had a Yahoo account forever. Its $20 a year! Does anyone recommend any accounts that offer push/forwarding email for free?

I am going to try setting up my GMAIL account when I get home. I have a BB with tmobile and cingular. I set up my own websites email in 5 minutes. No bescal or anything. Just went on, checked set up email (7105t) and put in email address. Email was sent to my bb, and one to my personal account. Bam. Set up. Gmail should work the same.

GMail and Hotmail are the 2 that I know of.
After that you have pay accounts like AOL, Yahoo Premium, Excite Gold, MSN, Comcast, Verizon DSL, Bellsouth DSL, etc...

the only diffrence with the 29.99 plan is the inability to connect to a BES, or blackberry enterprise server. So if your customer works for a business that has a RIM server installed through their IT dept, the 29.99 plan WILL NOT WORK, they will need the 44.99 bb data plan. But if their is no need to connect to the bes the 29.99 plan will work just fine.

The only catch is it is not for corporate email users. You can use any personal email and multiple personal email accounts. They are simply going after the consumer market that likes the idea of unlimited but doesn't want it for $44.99.

That really sounds too good to be true. The only downside I see to that is the already high dealer cost of the 8700. We only make money off that phone from the BBUnl.

It is the exact same commission. We get 4 times the feature UP TO $100. Any feature over $25 is all the same for us.

They changed ours to three times the feature back at the AT&T buyout. Me thinks me smells a dead fish at corporate.
