Does anybody besides me think we reps need an Escape-An-Irate-Customer feature? lol

This was taken out of Cingular's forums. Seems him himself doesn't like to be good customer service. LOL No wonder Verizon's customers are happier and people switch from cingular. This guy right here.

😈

Oh and I posted a nice reply to his thread, quite funny 🙂

According to Omar

Any truth to Omar's threads?:

whats up,
i work for verizon wireless and im telling you 1st hand that the rigorous testing is not a front. the reason we out thing through these kinds of testing is because we want to make sure our product works. we don't just make a ton of phones and see what happens. you have to go to sprint or cingular for that. plus we have 2 new phones with bluetooth coming out this month.

New phones!?

I just got off the phone with my local Verizon store and they told me the Motorola V710 will be out mid this month. Can anyone confirm that and do you know of any other phones Verizon will be launching?

A little history lesson we would do well to learn from

The year was 1997 and I was a direct business to business rep for a multi-regional carrier. The competition in the market was the largest carrier in the industry. They had size and technology on their side. We were analog and they were digital. Every time I called on a client it seemed that their rep was either right behind me or had just been there. Our rates were better but our best phones had only 36 hours of standby compared to 100 for the big boy. Our coverage was better but the only people who really cared were the county employees and some loggers. When I got a client to switch, the big boy threw whatever they wanted at them.
Our market was bleeding customers. At one point churn had hit 6 % with no relief in sight. Fortunately for ...

Moving # from ATT to Verizon

I have been a ATTWS customer for 10 years and just can't take it anymore. I recently switched to ATT's GSM service and can't stay connected even half the time at home in Orlando, FL - let alone when I travel around the country.

Can anybody give me an honest opinion on Verizon's CDMA technology vs the GSM/TDMA technology used by most other carriers. I am specifically interested in the quality of Verizon's network as I travel around the country. Thanks in advance.

my beef with verizon

hey everybody,

I've been having billing problems with Verizon. They have recently charged me long distance charges for calls to Guam (my home) which is still part of the United States. I've been trying to talk to someone that can do something about it, but so far I've just been given the ring around. I got the "sorry a change was made late last year" then I asked "why wasn't I notified" and they were like "well, this wasn't a policy change, it was merely a mistake that was 'corrected'."

So now, I get charged $0.20/min for calls to Guam. I talked to Sprint, and they cover calls to Guam under their free long distance. That's really a big plus in my eyes. Real service without leaving anybody out no matter how small they think the problem ...

My phone is broke and my contract is up in a month....what to do?

😕
My old LG is broken. Well, the hinge is cracked so now everytime it receives a jolt or if I close the phone it powers off. I can't power it back on unless I take out the battery first. Obviously I need a new phone.
I had been waiting in hopes that Verizon would come out with a new (good) PDA phone, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen.
I travel a lot for work along the eastern states so I need a phone that works wherever I travel. I dropped Sprint a few years ago because their coverage was only there if I was in a big city and no where else.
So do I just get a temp phone in hopes that Verizon comes out with something worth while or should I just bite the bullet and change carriers. Obviously this is a loaded qu...

Battery (cont)

I had a full charge, It charged all night while it was off, I mentioned the fact that it was storming because, due to this my phone kept fluctuating between VZW and Extended Network, (I was at work, in front of my computer, it was'nt like I was moving or driving) I'd like to add something else, while I was on Extended Network I dialed 611 just out of curiosity to see what company I was using and I was still on VZW.... ¿?¿?¿ also I stayed on digital the whole time. This was the weirdest experience I've had with my T730 reception-wise.
