i600 Upgrade to Windows Mobile SmartPhone 2003
Does anyone know when Verizon and Samsung are going to release the new OS for the i600. I need the SSL support for my work e-mail.

I've been monitoring Microsoft's website, and while nothing is written in stone, the overwhelming belief is that the i600 will not (and some have said technically cannot) be upgraded.
It's amazing to me that a phone can be released with a software version lagging the current standard, and it's even more amazing considering SP '04 is due out soon. This phone was a joke from the beginning. Stay away - caller ID does NOT work right - it takes at least 4 rings to properly identify a caller if your address book is large.
