Evidently the algorithm VZW uses for credit approval freaks out every now & then & hits people with unnecessary deposits. I usually call EVERY application in if there's a deposit on it; about 50% of the time, it'll get waived or lowered.

Why are you complaining - clearly your credit is not perfect and they need a refundable deposit. If you don't have $400, you can't afford a cell phone anyhow, so stop living outside your means, pay your bills on time, and this won't happen in the future.
Typical VZW Sales/Customer Service... Bitch at the customer... Don't you Sprint PCS wannabe's have anything good to say???
