Audiovox 8900 is Tri-mode, so you can pick up analog, which is good if you travel to BFE on a regular basis. If you live anywhere in the Western states I can let ya know where your areas are going to be that you're going to be needing this feature if ya email me. Samsung A610, demo'd one today, personally, I think the picture quality is better, only thing I don't care much for is that this unit doesn't have the external caller ID. Everyone that's gotten the Samsung phone that I've talked to loves it. The Audiovox phone I got for my boyfriend and he loves it as well, but the pictures come out a little dark even in a well lit room. Some Verizon Wireless customers have had some issues with the battery life of the 8900, but because it is a...

Neither. The samsung is a VERY old design now, much larger, heavier than the competing hardware coming out. Oh, and no external caller ID, you will have to leave it twisted all the time exposing the screen to scratches and then twist and flip the phone every time you want to answer the phone if you want to know who is calling you. I would say neither also. The camera on the LG VX-6000 is crisp and clear (as long as its in the day) and the reception is great. If you have a few weeks to wait I'm sure that something will be coming out that may interest you if not the vx-6000.

Without hesitation I'd say get the a610...I've never met an Audiovox that could stand up to a Samsung.

yeah i would hold from getting either of those phones too. Wait a few months and you have motos, a kyrocera, and others that offer megapixel cameras, additional memory, and just plainly more features. I have the lg vx6000 right now and like other people have said, its a great phone. I dont like the fact that it doesnt have analog roaming, but neither does the samsung a610. the audiovox has this and a speakerphone which sucks from what i hear. either way, just wait two months or so and you'll have quite a selection (which may make your choice even harder! 😁 )
