If the Nexus One is the right phone when its released. I was reading up on it and found that you have to store apps on the internal memory and cannot add a Micro SD Card for apps.
Good Lord I am sooooooooooooo confused

They are working for a fix. Remember, that when you buy and app, you are buying it for YOU, not for you to download and share. They are working on a way to encrypt apps so they can be stored on the SD card.
That being said, most apps on the marketplace only take up a maximum of 10mb, or LESS on your phone. how they work is you need the core file (the .exe if you will) on the phone, the rest can be stored in a folder on the card since that is just data like textures, or skins, etc. most apps run 1-2mb, or less. So even though you are limited on App memory, you can still put several dozen apps on your device.

Ahhh that totally makes sense. I guess I wasnt sure if it was THE PHONE to have

Yeah, that's the way all Android apps are built, for now anyway. All the media stuff is stored on the SD and cached o onboard memory when the app is running. only the "kernel" of the app actually has to be on the onboard memory.
I'm also sure that I'm probably using some of the wrong terms here. I'm in EE, not CS (thank God!)

To be honest I am due now for my upgrade and as old as it may be I still like the Storm 2. Though part of me is telling me to wait for a new Android Device

Android... maybe palm. As it stands atleast.
Nexus One is probably a better phone overall, compared to the Droid... but Droid/Eris/Devour are all solid options from what I've read and see.

I'm running with about 50 installed apps without memory issues. I demonstrate apps all the time, so I have a lot more than I personally use or need. My memory card is loaded with data.
I'm highly satisfied.

Running plain old Droid. Not overclocked or rooted (it's my work-provided phone, so no toying with the software for me). It just plain works. I've experienced a very slight slowdown on the web, but still pulling 1.2Mbps, thanks to the app that tells me that. ;)
I'm still going to buy something HTC Android here in a bit on my personal line (where I have my Storm 1). THEN I'll be playing with settings and such...
