I really don't get the new LG Versa
It's physically something akin to a Dare with a detachable Voyager.
Software wise, this is the first phone with some new tweaks. There are multiple home screens with multiple shortcut options. I can use the media home screen and have pics or videos loaded, or I can have the main home screen loaded with links to my calendar or music. There's a high-end features page. You scroll through them like a version of HTC's Touch Flo system.
Something I'm very happy to finally see is a way to back up your contacts to a computer via Bluetooth, but I haven't quite figured out exactly what the phone would back up to. I'm hoping that soon we'll have phones that allow the customer to sync their contacts and appoi...

Need for Speed and Pac Man demos on it...
...King
2: Threaded text messaging
3: Three browser tabs to hold multiple websites open
4: I can reach the touchscreen and the physical keypad without having to open and close the fold all the time like my Voyager
Of course, I'll wait until after the first price drop before I order mine. Let a few other early adopters get some beta testing in and save myself a few bucks at the same time. I can make the Voyager satisfy me for a few more months, at least.
I wouldn't dream of having this class of phone without an internet package anyway, so I could care less if it's required or not. I already spend 5x more time on the web/email on my Voyager then I do actually talking on it.
If your ONLY criteria for deciding wheth...

I rather pay 15 more and just have a BB, but live it up!
I've considered the BB's several times, but as it stands right now, I've got my wife and myself on the new Connect plan with 700 minutes. My 24% discount gives me both those lines for $95.99 +tax.
If I go Blackberry, I can't keep the Connect plan, So I'll go to the Select program and then have to add $15 Vcast for my wife and $29.99 for my BB, and that's $123.38 per month.
I don't need the better calendaring and 3rd party apps enough to pay an extra $27.39/month to get basically the same WWW access I've got now. That's over $350/yr difference for a product that will serve my needs equally well.
My hat's off to all y...

Reason enough to choose it over the Dare.

Playing the Need for Speed Demo on the phone was amazing.

I'm an adult and I don't play games on my phone so that means absolutely zero to me.
Like I've already said at least two other times in this thread, I haven't read anything more about the phone other than what was posted on the phonescoop home page. If it's a good phone that people are excited about...great. I'm happy for VZW and LG to have another nice phone. It just don't see the appeal for me personally.

Anal-retentive much?
🤣
I'm a big boy in my big boy pants. Adults play games all the time, especially on their phones.
I'm an adult and I like my Tetris when I'm somewhere and I have to wait for someone.
I wasn't tearing the phone down. I never said "The Versa sucks" or anything like that. I simply said that I...me personally...don't get the appeal of it. But by the responses of some people you'd think I insulted your dead grandmother or something. It's just a phone people.
