Do you HAVE to use a passcode for voicemail?
My wife just switched back to Verizon a few days ago and I will be also in about a month. When my wife set up her voicemail it asked her to pick a 4-digit passcode. Now she has to key that code in just to check her voicemail. I don't remember having to do that when I was a VZW customer before. Is it new? With AT&T, if you press and hold down the number 1 key, it dials your voicemail (just like Verizon) but you don't have to enter anything else. You can just listen to your messages. We kinda like that. Can it be changed on VZW so that it's not required? Thanks.

You can set up the phone to automatically enter your password when you dial VM.
If you go into your contacts, find Voicemail. Then open it up and select "Edit" Go down to where the number is (should be *86) On of your options on the softkeys should be "Pause" or "options" Select it. You want to insert a 2 second pause.
Then you put in your Password followed by a #.
hit Ok, then hit Save to save the changes to the number.
Now when you dial out, it will autodial your password as well so you'll be taken right to your inbox.

depending on the model phone, you might have to go to messages>(options or setting)> (all msg or voicemail #) then add the pp(password)#
