I saw on the launch document that this will suport aac format, so i am wondering if i will be able to load any of my itunes on here without reformatting them? Have you tried, or does anyone know? I can work aroud it I just hate the extra work Itunes makes you go through to truely own the music you pay for! I only use them because of the nike plus crap. I am hoping my life will get easier if this phone will read them as is.

I have no clue. All my music is in mp3 format. By the way, I'M LOVING THIS PHONE!!! 😁

Just for future reference if I ever need an insurance replacement on my i730 and they send me an i760.
Does Quick2Net work on the i760?
If you could check for me, that'd be great.
Go to Connections, add a new one, and the name is QNC, number to dial is #7772, username and password are qnc and domain is left blank.
If you could connect and browse the web for a second to make sure it works, then go back and delete it and go back to Data Network.
This doesn't cost anything other than minutes.

Hey bro, I just tried it. I didn't get it to work. Maybe I didn't do it right though. Was it case senative? I used caps, would that make a difference? 😕
...
No it doesn't. It doesn't matter anyway. My i730 touchscreen is shot (no litterally of course) and I am going to the store on Sunday and seeing if they will set me up with a 700wx (since they haven't had i730s in stock for months).
Just in case you were curious, the problem I'm having with my i730 is that the center doesn't respond to taps anymore, and the area above and below the dead spot and badly disaligned and the alignment tool doesn't help at all. The actual screen still works fine; everything looks crystal clear.
And what's pissing me off is that I did not abuse it at all. Never been dropped. I treat it like it was part of my family. 👿

I think they will swap it out. What else would they offer? I bet they start with the old Q, then work their way up the ladder. By the way, I just registered at pdaphonehome. Lots of info there. A small coincidence, my older brother lives in Baltimore, works at John Hopkins U.
...
I don't think they would give me the Q since it's a smartphone and you can't give someone with a PPC a smartphone as an exchange.
I was thinking 6700 or 700wx but since the store no longer has the 6700 either, I think I'm going to go with the 700wx.
But it needs Quick2Net. So that's what scares me.

I'm not sure on what models, but there are software updates which allow AAC format to be transfered onto the handsets. With a VCast handset you have to use the Music Essentials kit. When you connect the handset with the software it will take an Unprotected AAC song and convert it (either MP3 or WMA, not sure which format it actually converts to) so that it can be played. I'm sure it's similar with the new PDA's.
The key here is "Unprotected" AAC. If you ripped songs in iTunes from your CDs you should be able to transfer them. Also, the new iTunes Plus songs ($1.29 per song) are unprotected. But if you've been purchasing songs for $0.99 good luck making them easily play on anything but an Apple product. They are using what I belie...

I'm not sure about the aac format, but I do know that I've been able to drag and drop mp3, wma, and wmv files straight to the phone with no sync required. Music essentials kit is not required, just the driver for the phone and the data cable, both of which come with it, or even just a card reader on your pc if you don't want to hook the phone up.
...
yup, that is how i do it as well.
Here is what i was thinking, in itunes it shows the option to load to a player, well I was under the idea that it is not only ipods you can transfer this crap to, i know a lot of mp3 players by like samsung and others play aac format, so I was thinking the whole rip to cd then transfer back to pc sucks and i would like to avoid it. As i said earlier I use nike plus and it only works with itunes. As far as the music kit goes i don't use those things, i just convert crap over to mp3 and load straight onto card, much easier and I am not into using media player.
