Helio vs. Verizon
jhassJun 23, 2007, 2:42 PM
Ok I have verizon and am like 4 months into my current 1yr contract & I need some advice. I like verizon's customer service & plus I work for an indirect agent so technically I get paid by verizon. But I have been tempted more then once to port my # over to helio. Some of the reasons are the ocean (currently have enV) unlimited calling + pix & text, unlimited myspace mobile, buddy beacon all for $145/month which is a little more then I pay with verizon $99.99 unlmited text 1350min plus vcast $15. But overall what have you heard I know they roam on sprint & also heard they have roaming agreements with verizon. In addition there phones are unlocked quite a bit more than verizon. So any help would be appreciated

hey... we're basically in the same boat. I'm mulling over on the switch too. I'm pretty sure I will make the jump, based on owning te ocean. as far as them using vzw towers... its in the works, but not yet. they are sprint only thus far.
so are u willing to pay the early term fee? not cheap...
good luck on deciding. its been on my mind for a while now.

Well my contract with vzw ends 6/??/2008 so around then I will get helio as well as vzw and not port until I am 100% positive that I want helio! Hopefully by then helio will have a roaming agreement with sprint because sprint isint that great out here.

Hi I have virgin mobile service right now but I recently heard that VM AND Helio have came together to make one company or service? How will this affect customers? What are some of the plans that yall are thinking about maybe some ideas? Also I was thinking about trying out the Helio phone to see how the service is because it has the roaming while VM does not. What kind of offers or discounts where you talking about in your post? Also I heard that Helio does have a 30 day guarantee or you oney back? How does this work exactly? Thanks Tasha
