Has anyone here tried EVO?...I think it's pretty dumb they only let you have the Nokia 6010.I think you should be able to get any of there phones on EVO.They would sell more if it was like that.Do they have any plans to expand the selection of phones for this?

Purchasing a New Phone

My current phone is old and it's time for a new one. I was thinking about purchasing a new phone on ebay since I am a college student and cannot afford the prices the retail store wants to charge me for a new phone. My current carrier is Cellular One/Dobson in PA.

I initially e-mailed Cellular One, of course they recommend that I purchase a phone from their retail store (aka no help). I noticed a lot of phones were "unlocked" on ebay, am I able to use one of these with Dobson Cellular One? Some mentioned a SIM Card, are these available and where would I find one for Cellular One Dobson?

I'm really clueless when it comes to purchasing a phone on ebay and the specifics I need Confused . I just need someone to guide me..
If anyone can offe...

Question about Cellular One/NPI Wireless merger

Does anyone on here know anything about this? My account was set up with NPI Wireless about 3 weeks before Cell One took them over or whatever. My question is about the coverage. I just figured since they bought them that they'd merge their towers or something like that for additional coverage but apparently that's not the case. They (NPI) told me right after I got my phone in October 2004 that they were adding towers is why I guess that's what I was assuming that was what they were talking about. That was before they actually changed the name of NPI Wireless to Cellular One. How does this stuff work? Anyone know? They told me this when I tried to add their wireless internet that they were advertising, only thing was is I had to wait ...

Tell me about Cellular one

They are offering a GSM Nation wide plan and I want to make sure it isn't too good to be true. CellOne has a non compete agreement in my area with the other GSM service providers, so ATT and Cingular aren't an option. Cell One assures me I will NOT incur roaming charges whether the tower picking up the signal is Dobson, Cing or ATT. Is this true? I travel a great deal and can't afford to unknowingly incur roaming charges.

Other than that, how is the service in general?

Cell Towers On I-84 in PA

I have Verizon, but I have an extended network using CellOne. I use 84 for college until May, and I just traveled that road (I-84) last week and I noticed that I have a digital extended area now. Has CellOne actually started to get out of the analog age?

V600 & Sony UX-50

Looking for info on using my Sony UX-50 to connect to the internet through bluetooth and my Motorola V600. I am located in Anchorage Alaska where Cellular One just rolled out the GSM. I can use my laptop and Motorola Phone Tools and bluetooth no problem. I just connected for a few moments to check connectivity but it works. From what I have read on the internet the key to getting it working is a script. Does anyone know a script that will work for cellone? Any info would be great.

Thanks, Tom

do they cover Monsey NY with GSM? or any of the surrounding area's?

(I'm with Cingular now, and even after the merger, this area wont be covered too well, since both Cingular and AT&T do not have too many towers up there...)
