I had att at one point, then moved to T-Mobile and to be honest my iPhone 4 worked better with att, but why such all the crying over this merger? Has anyone even saw that T-mobile is not going to put anymore money into the network, so why not let them sell out to att its not like sprint or verizon wants them, their all still on CDMA and proud of it, ijs.

The big deal is...
You switched to T-Mobile with your iPhone from AT&T for a reason right? Now suppose you never had that option and were stuck on AT&T, and suppose AT&T knew that.

Also Sprint DID want them. Just because Sprint uses CDMA doesn't mean they can't rent out GSM technology to other carriers, or use other assets that T-Mobile had.

Sprint? lmfao oh please. They can't even run their own business and made a $hitty offer to DT and now they're sore because AT&T made a better one. A Sprint acquisition of T-Mo would have been ten times worse. Catastrophic!!!! So many networks and frequencies. Just a nightmare. There are so many reasons why Sprint sucks but I'll be here all nig...

I wish I had the link to the article which was on phonescoop. It referenced sprints attempt to buy Tmo but nobody was willing to finance the project. Sprint does not have the money and they continually make poor decisions with network roadmap. So it was not that AT&T made a better offer it was that Sprint could not buy them.

The best solution for everyone is for another company that is not a wireless carrier to come in and buy T-Mobile when the AT&T deal falls through. Then DT gets rid of T-Mo, which is what it obviously wants, but the American wireless industry doesn't lose a major competitor.

Personally, I'm hoping Google rides in like the cavalry to save the day, but we'll see.

I think Google would be in a worse position than AT&T to buy T-Mobile.

Remember when Microsoft was hit with an antitrust over IE being tied into Windows?

Google would have to be investigated for a vertical monopoly owning the software, hardware, and carrier.

That's exactly what the big deal is.

Sprint wanted them; & they didn't get them, so now everyone has to throw a fit about it because att has enough money to buy tmo. Nobody is going to be STUCK with at&t, there's plenty of options, sprint, verizon, boost, metro etc

People are just soo ridiculous about this whole situation. Let att buy tmobile & be done with it. 😁

Nokia would have bought in Palm and used webOS on it's devices instead of the crappy WP7 and Vodafone would have sold it's shares back to Verizon and used the money from the transaction to purchase T-Mobile. But sadly this is far from a perfect world.

I doubt the deal will go through now anyway but if it does, there are still choices out there people. Even Sprint has the iPhone now. So quit whining
