Who cares? Who can afford their data & why put up with caps?

I know maybe some "data-grandfathered" die-hard VZW Customers may be happy about this roll-out but at this point for any new customers Verizon is a rip-off/scam for data. With up to $100 data add-ons PER LINE what new customer who has to pay these obnoxious rates & actually uses their phone for data would care about this? I hope they have miserable 2011 Q3 & Q4 numbers in protest of how they re-configured their data plans & implemented low caps & high costs. The $30 plan went from unlimited to 2GB & the price of the highest cost data plan went from $30 to $100 (333% increase!!) & even that rip-off plan has a cap now! I hope Sprint has a great end to 2011. I don't have Sprint, I have TMO & soon will join the also-dreaded Death Star but eve...

WOW learn your numbers before you spit incorrect thoughts out of your mouth. It's 2gb for 30, 5 gb for 50 and 10gb for 80( not 100 )
Also tmobile does not give you unlimited data at thier best speeds. You get 2gb of data and then they throttle you. Just read the fine print in any of the new commercials they are running. I am happy you want to dog out verizon but they are number one in almost every catagory so they must be doing something right. Once the fcc denies the merger then what are you going to do? Again you would be in the small percentile with your usage so stop being a hater.

T-Zones is what I have for my dual-booted Android/WinMo HTC HD2 & T-Zones is unlimited 4G with no caps. I too am grandfathered on a deal like some lucky VZW customers. I pay $5.99 for it and can use whatever amount of data I like well past 5GB. Feel free to visit howard forums for details. As to "there is no $100 add on" to a VZW cell phone plan, please visit verizon.com to see for yourself. $100 to add 12GB of data to EACH line. If I used 12GB, my cost would be $5.99, yours as a new VZW customer, $100. I know it's just a local example, but the million people who live here in Albuquerque get T-Mobile's 4G & just plain old 3G from Verizon. Hey though, they are #1 in taking money out of your wallet.

Thunderbolt is a nice phone. I think you get better battery life than I do. I only can get 3-5 hours when actually using my phone to stream content. I think HTC beefed up the capacity of the battery in later models like yours. Isn't dual-boot the best? Give you for one every tethering method possible. Our HTCs can USB, Bluetooth PAN & DUN as well as WiFi Tether. For some strange reason I get the fastest speeds when stationary using Windows & Tom Codon WiFi Hotspot. I get consistently 4MB speeds using it when even using Android's WiFi Hotspot, I get just above 2MB speeds. Don't know why but glad I can dual boot to get those speeds.

I get about 4 hours TOPS when im streaming.
Love the WiFi tether. I too get the best speeds using Tom Codon also its the only one I use. Dual Booting is the best. the main reason I went Android, the wify has the Iphone(that is cool to just less "after market" options) 😁

Perhaps you need to recheck your numbers. There is no $100 12GB data plan. What you are refering too is the $80 data plan that gives you 10GB's of data with the $20 Mobile Hotspot feature that gives you 2GB's of data for a total of 12GB's of data to be used either on your phone or as a Hotspot. You can add the $20 hotspot feature to any of the data plans to add another 2GB's of data total to your tiered plan and that total amount of data is pooled together to either use on your phone or as a hotspot.

Also, for any VZW customers who are grandfathered into the $29.99 Unlimited plan, there is a $30 Hotspot feature that you can add on if you have a 4G phone (i.e.,Thunderbolt, Revolution, Charge) that gives you unlimited Hotspot (no data cap)....

Please check verizon.com for yourself. Plans have just changed 12 days ago. I just looked yesterday at VZW's website and YES there is a 12GB Data Plan add-on (per line, not family data plan) & it does indeed include hotspot for $100. Please go there and configure a plan (family or individual) to see for yourself. I have a killer deal with TMO that A Fee & Fee will likely kill in T-Zones so when the end to unlimited data with Verizon was coming I spent a little too much time at their website contemplating switching both before and after the switch. At the old rates my cell bill would have doubled from TMO to VZW, now with the data change they would likely triple. I use 7-8GB per line X 2 lines. Needless to say at triple the price I wi...

Not talking about a mobile hotspot or usb modem with VZW. I am talking about adding data to a individual or family cell phone with Verizon per-line. Verizon's phone plan add-ons per line range from $30 for 2GB to $100 for 12GB. Over 3X what T-Mobile highest data charge is or $30 for 5GB of 4G & unlimited edge. Over double what AT&T charges for their highest plan or $45 which offers 4GB (also a rip-off BTW). Sprint is the last alternative to people who like affordable unlimited high-speed data. They too, with Sprint's fully-owned MVNO Virgin Mobile recently putting caps on their unlmited, look like they may go with a cap sometime though I hope not.

Here is the link to our website which clearly show's NO 100$ PLAN d!ck! Your an idiot and you have no cred on this site now so crawl back into your tiny tmobile hole before you make yourself look even more confused. Thank you that is all.

Our website? First, let me say I'm sorry in advance for your choice of employers.

Second, you are the D!ck. Dude made a mistake, which does not change the fact that all of those data plans have higher price points than the same amount of data offered by T-Mobile. If you want 4G LTE and a device that drains your battery like crazy, then go for a 4G smartphone that can do 30Mbps. Last time I checked, 300Kbps was enough to stream youtube and 2Mbps was more than enough for Netflix, which are speeds that any "o.k." carrier can offer.

The prices offered by verizon are good for power users who actuially have the cash, and nobody else. They have high price points, the speeds offered are not usable to the average individual (most peop...

Really the title says it all. Cellphoneguy may be well-intentioned but not reading my posts. WHAT I MENTIONED IS A $100 ADD-ON TO AN INDIVIDUAL CELL PHONE PLAN, I am not talking about a mobile hotspot or usb modem data plan. Thanks for the links to those plans though not what I'm talking about. Please configure a cell-phone plan & go to add data, you will see the $100 12GB (per-line) plan. As for my tiny hole, when I'm part of AT&T which will have 30 million more customers than Verizon, does Verizon get that hole then?

There is NO 100$ add on man! I work here so i would know. If you have watched any of the hearings you would understand what im about to say. The merger will not go through! They are ripping the atnt ceo to shreds and catching him in lie after lie after lie. Trust me the fcc is watching this all go down.
