Why some of you think that people who use less than 1gb of data a month should pay the same as someone who uses 40gb a month? A cell phone and data plan is not a God given right...it is a business, and as such, you should be charged for what you actually use!

When a company sells you UNLIMITED, THAT is what you are paying for & what you deserve!! If you choose to use 100MB or 100GB, it is your choice. They are free to charge what they want & change plans & then people are also free to leave to go to another carrier, like Sprint, that still offers unlimited. The people who like tiered can stay if they like it. If/when Sprint cancels unlimited, heavy users can then just pay an obnoxious amount more or just go back to calling/text plans only & let the people who check email once a month on their phone keep a data plan. Anyone can charge anything for anything. Your homeowners insurance company can raise your homeowners policy from say $1500 a year to $20,000 & if you can find another insurer to be...

This is very true and something I totally agree with, however, on the one month that I tried to use as much data as I could, I used 1.5GB. On a usual basis, I use about 300MB - 700MB. I don't stream anything so yes I should pay for what I use which is nowhere near 2GB. A 1GB plan for $15 would be fine but VZW has given no option for low end smart phone users.

I agree with you 100% in that they should have a low cost option for I would say 1GB or 2GB for $10-$15, then maybe a 4GB plan for $20-$25 & retain the unlimited for $30-$35. The pricing structure would alter usage, likely get more people into smartphones & still make users like me at 5-7GB/month happy. I have no problem with light users paying 1/3 of what I pay, the problem is changing the $30 unlimited to 2GB & then just flat out eliminating unlimited. No big fan of Sprint, but I do wish them all the success in the world for keeping unlimited status quo.

ok, I understand your guys point of view, a lot of the comments I have read (other places, not here) are just super pissed that companies actually expect them to pay more as heavy users than as light users, and I don't get that mentality at all.
