U.S. Cellular to Cover 25% of Network with LTE by Year-End

So if USCC does in fact launch this...and if Huawei is granted permission to build their LTE network...and we KNOW Huawei is capable of speeds well over 100Mbps...would that make USCC the first TRUE 4G network?!?
Nope, not even close. In most of its markets, USCC has only 6 MHz downlink bandwidth of Lower 700 MHz spectrum. LTE requires the max 20 MHz downlink bandwidth to even approach 100 Mbps peak throughput.
LTE is scaleable by bandwidth. Not all LTE deployments are created equal.

That may be the case now. But not after U.S. Cellular is done upgrading their current network to support "true" 4G speeds. U.S. Cellulars LTE will be equivalent to Verizon's.

How so? Explain.
As I stated previously, USCC has only 6 MHz downlink bandwidth of Lower 700 MHz spectrum in most of its markets. It does have a second Lower 700 MHz license in some markets, increasing that total downlink bandwidth to 12 MHz. But none of those are major markets.
Compare that to VZW, which has 11 MHz downlink bandwidth of Upper 700 MHz spectrum across the entire country. And, in most major markets, VZW has a second or third Lower 700 MHz license, upping total downlink bandwidth to 17 MHz...
