Epic Fail!

no 4g, no dual-core, and no gingerbread??!!?? for $200 on contract, that is a complete waste of money. maybe consider it if it cost less, but with last years technology at that price range..... EPIC FAIL!!

No. If they start making only 4G devices THAT would be the fail. Why should I pay more for tech that is not even available to me in my home area? Right. I shouldn't.

I currently have an enV Touch so the Dinc 2 is a great upgrade. Perhaps it's less attractive if you have the Dinc 1, but since there's no LTE in my area and I really like HTC Sense this is a good choice. The $199 price is on the high side, however I get that price as an early upgrade option from Verizon. It's worth it to not have to wait another four months to maybe get a better price from Amazon, et al.

I got my Incredible for $0 from Best Buy after having my HTC XV6900 since Fall 2007. If VZ Access Manager had supported Windows 7 on my XV6900 I truly do not believe I would have upgraded then. Now that I have an Incredible...this phone is STILL worth having to me. I think you will be just fine.

the Iphone is 3 years ago tech and look how well it sells... this phone will do very well

I agree. It'll be underwhelming for sure. Many of those who do purchase it will, at some point within their 30 days, realize that they have made a mistake and most likely switch it for the Thunderbolt, which is superior in many aspects. The realization of waiting a short while longer before upgrading will also become a factor.

Consumers, even 1st timers, who specifically go looking for smartphones (which seems to be the norm these days), are intelligent enough to know when a specific device is not on the level. When you purchase a new smartphone, and the specifications/technology doesn't surpass certain previous-gen models that people around you have been using for quite some time, you tend to feel cheated. Before you can convince yoursel...
