Raising the prices on devices that can't even hold calls. AT&T gets worse everyday.

What's next, a cap on dsl and u-verse? Oh wait, they already did!

This is early upgrade pricing. Meaning this is a discount on the prices from full price that someone pays if they're *NOT* eligible to upgrade.

Some companies don't even discount them.

Consumers technically have no right to an 'early upgrade' discount pricing of any kind....the contract is for 2 years...the carrier has every right to insist NO DISCOUNTS until those 2 years are up....if they choose to offer someone a discount before that time, it is simply a courtesy and not something that they are in any way OBLIGATED to offer.

Cam you read? It's for EARLY upgrades, i.e. the people who want to buy a new phone every 6 months because the one they have is no longer 'hip' and demand a discounted price every time.

Not like actual CONTEXT matters apparently... 🙄
