Congrats to Sprint... the Ohio markets actually seem to be "from scratch" where as the LA and Washington DC markets have been in testing/beta for ages.

Now this is out of the way... Dear Sprint: We need 2011 details. NOW.

As a Sprint rep, I can safely say to hold on to your horses, we don't even have that info yet.

I guess none of you read Clear's recent earnings report. They have 0 cash and have put all network build out on hold until they come up with more cash. 2011 does not look good and this is coming from a clear employee.

Actually, LTE is the future. Sorry.

Actually, its not...
WiMax is already here with plans for WiMax 2 to come soon. The great thing is that WiMax 2 will be backwards compatible.

LTE has yet to launch. WiMax already covers almost 70 markets.

If you knew anything about spectrum and networks, you would know WiMax is the way to go.
LTE isn't capable of handling all the data we use. Especially as more and more people switch to smartphones every day.

I am not saying LTE will fail. Only that it doesnt have the potential of WiMax. Things will end up being like they are now. CDMA vs GSM.

Verizon and AT&T are moving to LTE. Tmobile will most certainly follow. Clear is nearly bankrupt. Sprint will either move to LTE eventually, or somehow find a way for WiMax to 'speak' to LTE.

WiMax is most certainly not the future.

You may need to do more research. He just gave you some great info and it went completely over your head. Wimax is in use right now in over 40 countries around the world on more than 65 NETWORKS If you saw the worldwide coverage map for Wimax you would know that Wimax has already not only been chosen by the WORLD it is already being USED by the WORLD while u still wait around in the stone ages using 3g tech hoping for lte to magically change that 🤣

Btw the world chose gsm over cdma because it was cheaper not because it was better tech!

Also right now Wimax has the fastest standard available both in the real world and on paper which is the reason why Verizon and Att Choose LTE in the first place because...

muchdrama... you have no idea what you are talking about.
T-Mob isn't going to build a 4G network. The owners have already agreed to that. Thats why they are claiming their HSPA+ to be the largest 4G network. (which is actually a lie on top of a lie... its not 4G and ATT has a bigger HSPA+ network)

ATT and Verizon chose LTE so they could increase competiton with Sprint. I mean, if Sprint is charging less for use of the EXACT same technology... why would anyone choose anything other than Sprint, especially since they have cleaned up their customer service problems for the most part.
Also, I never said LTE wasn't going to be successful. I just realize that Wi-Max has more long-term possibilities among other points.
Its cheaper to use a...

Yeah, Sprint and Clearwire are conspicuously absent when detailing Network builds for 2011. They say that the networks will be built for 2010 and then nothing else...

If the Clearwire thing doesn't pan out I can see Sprint either building it out on their own or possibly even switching to LTE and leaving the wimax network intact while building the rest of its network as LTE. Interesting times for sure...
