Verizon Pegs December for LTE Launch, Intros Droid 2 Global
Power Vs Speed.
Speed is definitely an important ingredient for accomplishing transaction goals. But what about handling the extreme demands of what will soon be introduced into the industry to take advantage of this new technology?
Sprint is in a position to add to the wars. I sense Sprint will implement that their "4G" is the "Most Powerful".
While no one may have true 4G as by definition, Sprint definitely has an upper hand in delivering an awesome experience and the spectrum to back the claim for being the most powerful.
While speed is important, I support having the power to back it as well.

I guess I prematurely brought it up for the sake of argument.
It's just that it seems everyone puts WiMAX down because it is branded WiMAX rather than LTE. It's just a name. It is essentially the same as LTE. Other than frequency, there is somewhat little difference.
I think people should be aware that if an argument is going to ensue over this supposed 4G title, I really think individuals should in all fairness, take Sprint more seriously. They are in fact, in the best position to handle the increasing trend of data intensive usage.
I take them very seriously. Probably more than I should. Afterall, I'm just a customer. Not an employee.
However, most individuals on this forum are advocates for the company they work ...

What some may see as a rant, I see true words of wisdom. I agree with you, there is no perfect carrier out there and to be honest, all of them have sucked for one reason or another.
Technologically, low power is actually the desirable trait for a next generation network, but try telling a marketing guy that he needs to impress the value of a "low power" network on the masses...
"Power" could be nothing but marketing hype in the "4G" wars. Therefore, I would not be surprised to see Sprint start using the term for their WiMAX network. It's an impossible position to assail since the term has no meaningful definition with regard to actual service quality.
They could claim to "use" the most powerful next generation network because it's likely the most inefficient network from an electricity ...

Reciting a portion of Ohm's Law, will not go very far when selling a device and the services to go with it.
I respect the technical knowledge and scientific intelligence that you possess. It is very commendable.
I am a service technician by trade. While I have great respect for engineers and scientists, it is my desire that they never pick up a screw driver or wrench. These are the same individuals that make my job far more complicated once I reach the machine in question. These people look at every technical aspect...

Mind if I quote you?

However, quoting my opinions, could get you into trouble by others that believe differently. ๐
