I like Metro too and I often recommend them under certain circumstances but the guy had somewhat of a point here. People don't join a carrier such as Metro for data. They join for cheap voice. Most of them are not geeks and quite a few don't even know much about the internet let alone that you can get it on a phone.
Whether this could be a game changer for Metro remains to be seen but I for one wish them the very best because we could always use more competition.
