Apple Blames iPhone 4 Reception Issue on Faulty Formula

Went to the Apple store armed with my iPhone 3G running os 3.xx, a new Pantech Impact, and an old Motorola Pebble (unlocked) all on ATT. All phones showed full bars. The only phone that dropped bars was the iPhone 4. i did not make any calls so I cannot attest as to whether or not this dropping in bars had any "real" effect. It made me feel uncomfortable enough to hold off ordering a new phone. Went back after I upgraded my 3G to ios4, still no signal loss no matter how I held it. I believe the software explanation may have something to do with how the bars are reported, but, in a strong signal strength area, when only one phone is effected, it is more likely the phone, not the service. Well said... AT&T's network works well with pretty much every other phone including the Droids. iPhones are the only ones with complaints, and honostly when you sell a million phones even if only 1% have issues that is still 10,000 phones we have to hear about having issues which is a pretty significant number.
