I remember when Sprint did this...

I remember a few years back when Sprint said they were going to stop saying why they are better than the competition and just give folks a reason why Sprint is a good company.

These kinds of ads, in my opinion, don't do very much to change public perception of a company. But I do think it will be better because we won't have to look at AT&T's lame attempts at being humorous. Verizon got them.

But I think AT&T needs to let people know why they are a better carrier without dissing the competition. It won't change everyone, but I think it will at least plant a seed that AT&T will water with better service.

Rather than trying to go toe to toe with Verizon's claims, AT$T should have changed the game on them. I'd like to see an ad that admits Verizon has more 3g coverage but then talk about customer service. Why be treated like garbage when you can go with AT$T. 3g in the places most people are, and Edge isn't all that much worse than Verizon's 3g.

Verizon won the map game. Fine- you deal with a loss and move on.
