Android 2.1 Update for Droid Officially Underway
Stop trying to be the iPhone.
Be yourself Google, do something DIFFERENT.
Palm, your a great company, do something DIFFERENT.
Blackberry, well, moving on...
Symbian, I live in the United States, do something for ME!
Windows, You might be onto something...
And seriously, to all of the manufactures...
WE ALREADY HAVE AN IPHONE!!!!
STOP MAKING DEVICES THAT "KIND OF LOOK LIKE THE IPHONE BUT AREN'T REALLY THE IPHONE"
Let Apple be Apple.
Stop trying to be Apple.
Hey look at the iPhone, it's pretty popular let's make an iPhone killer. We will design an all touch-screen interface with thousands of apps to download, multiple homepages that you swipe back and forth to get to and throw in pinch to zoom.
I don't know. If the iPhone sucks so bad, how did it become so popular, I mean, advertising only does a certain amount before people owning the device return it, throw it away and never come back.
Because their are more simple minded individuals who love simplicity, then those who enjoy more complicated and challenging devices, therefore the demand is high.
apps were out before the iphone (mainly for WINMO) but apple really made them popular. again, a phone having apps isn't them just trying to copy apple. it's a consumer expectation + something that's been done before.
and MS came up with pinch zoom (and apparently a company in Taiwan was the first to patent it) not apple. They made these things popular, they didn't come up with the concept, just tweaked it

If I want to show someone, I don't have to go to a computer or deal with a web interface, I just go into my gallery and open the file and the phone pulls the image to the temp storage of my device so I can show them. The new gallery is also an improvement in and of itself for navigating folders.
-Optimization tweaks. Apps load faster, the built in memory manager seems...

So... about your activation fee thing.. you can try and see what it does. But generally waived activation fees are part of promotions, not everyday things.
So I can find this duck hunt live wallpaper in the market?
So how old are you Jason? I'm 30.

My DROID looks nothing like the iphone. My DROID does not function like the iphone. So how is my DROID like the iphone but isnt?
Very true, both are good products and sure many phones share similar or same features. Its like yelling at all aircraft makers being blamed because the Wright Brothers thought of wings for airplanes.
