Boost, Trac Fone, Virgin, etc. Plenty of options for no contract. Sadly, people want and expect a cheap phone- you can't do that without a contract.

Don't want a 2 year contract? Done! AT&T and Verizon both offer month-to month contracts if you either provide your own handset compatible with their networks OR purchase one at full retail pricing from the carrier. T-Mobile will do the same AND give you a break on monthly pricing if you do either with them. What are you waiting for? Get to it!
