Still a good deal without it, and you don't need 3g unless you are downloading video or audio. Large 240x320 display, push email (when the hell will other manufacturers catch up on that?), and most likely a decent processor for Java (like most other Sony models).
Another nice feature would be an autofocus camera, but at this price that is kind of a fantasy. The c510a is basically this phone with autofocus, and that goes for about $230 on Amazon.

I notice it is officially a J105 model. I don't know why it is called a J-series, as it looks much more like a K-series model.

I thought K-series was more higher end feature phones, and J-series were the more simple ones. Compared to other models, this is mid-range at best (that Exchange support is pretty cool though).

The best J-series I know of until now was the old j300, which lacked a camera and had a small display, which is why I find it weird for the Naite to be a J-.
K's could be almost anything. The k320 was about the same price, but only had a VGA camera and no memory card slot. The k810 was a monster with a Cybershot camera. But the lower-level k-series models didn't usually make it to the US. I think the k300 might have been used in Canada.
