the danger behind texting and driving, but now they are just looking for more reasons to pull you over and write you a ticket for everything they can.

isin't that the truth my brother got a ticket for skating with no helmet. I think it should be your choice on what you choose to do. it's not right.

Its in Philadelphia now too, I do understand why they are doing this, just like everything in life it takes a group of people to ruin a good thing for everyone else, and that group would just so happen to be the ones that drove head first into a tree

your brother riding a skateboard without a helmet has no correlation to the no text and driving law. if your brother crashes he only hurts himself but if some jacka** is texting and slams into another car well that's a whole different story.

I think cops should worry about people who make other people victims, not make themselves victims. Your brother not wearing a helmet isn't going to cause anybody to be a victim except him. Same as not wearing a seat belt, no one will get hurt by not wearing a seat belt except for the person not wearing it.

But someone texting while driving can definetly hurt someone other than themselves.

Thats riduculous you shouldnt have a choice when it comes to endangering people around you its not like your walking and texting your controlling a piece of machinery which can weigh up to several tons depending on what kind of vehicle your driving. There should be no choice on this matter open your eyes and realize how dumb it is to text while your driving!

It should be your choice if the outcome can only affect you. Your brother not wearing a helmet can only lead (negatively) to his injury/death. I'm ok with that.

Now if I was texting and driving and ran over your brother, how would you feel?

See the difference?

that's dumb to discriminate against the youth versus old people who don't text anyway

If the youth (and older idiots for that matter) didn't do something as stupid as texting and driving, there would be no need for the law.

I have been driving for 9 years and just in an accident where a forty year old hit me he had about 26 years of experience, so now that we have realized it doesnt matter how long you have been driving and texting you can still slip up and smash in to someone, and I think its safe to say your odds of hitting someone while you are texting are a little greater than when you are not 🤨

I guess at present its perfectly OK for someone over 21 in Missouri to kill or injure someone while texting and driving.

Versed, I think they were guessing that at 21, you would be smart enough to know better (or at least to be able to choose when to text and drive more accurately?
