First AT&T, now Spring

Why all the hate, Verizon?
Why make your claim basing it on a study done on VOICE calls, when "3G" refers to DATA? Sprint's 3G network (which is referring ONLY to data, not voice) could easily be more reliable than Verizon's 3G network.
This does nothing but make Verizon look like a bully. And if there's one thing America doesn't like, it's a bully.

It looks as though both you and I have picked out the same fault with this claim. At&T has something Verizon wants and so does Sprint.

What's that? A more capable data network?
...
Maybe, att's network has more than 3 times the capacity of verizon (in areas where 850mhz has been lit up)
...
Yeah well Verizon is going to be deploying LTE in 20-30 markets during next year, so capacity won't something ATT will be able to brag about very soon.

Verizon is wrong for this action, but for the CDMA carriers it is all 3G. So there is no distinction between voice and data with the term. CDMA2000 or 1x is what both carriers use for voice and it is 3G.

So another words since both Verizon and Sprint usse the same technology, they're equally dependable.

However, when it comes to having cell sites with battery backup and generators to keep them operating during power outages, VZW wins hands down. I don't know of any Sprint sites here in New England that aren't just equipment on a concrete pad next to the tower (aside from all the Nextel equipment shelters they acquired). To me, dependability is also defined by whether I can make a call when I want to (which may be a 911 call during a natural disaster). If the Sprint site is down because it ran out of power, but the VZW site is still going on its generator, I think VZW wins the dependabili...
