thank you Verizon!
i was thinking of switching to Verizon from ATT cus of the Droid. thanks for letting us know tethering will be available in 2010 on Droid and pay additional 15buk!
now there is no reasons for me to switch!
all unlocked GSM windows pdaphones comes with tethering as standard feature! it works out of the box! (internet sharing).

even with GSM phones though, you're supposed to pay extra for tethering. (and you can do the same with Verizon, they are better at catching it though).
So you are passing off on a phone becuase it's harder to get a feature without paying for it?

Its another case of one of those who shouldn't have it in the first place. Its funny cause I heard someone say the other day ATT was offering the 2G iphone for $49 now and was strangly reminded of the razor which was all the rage when it came out and then three years latter you could buy them for door stops.

the iphone is offered at that cost but it is the 8GB iphone 3G not 2G and it is refurbished.

I don't think AT&T allows that on the iPhone.

back up didn't mean to sound like an ATT fan boy. Everyone on this thread is acting like hey tethering no big deal and hey 2009 they got tethering wow phones have had it forever. What they neglected to understand is THE phone that will beat the iphone will have tethering out of the box and usable with yes an extra price but it's great to have that option on the "Iphone Killer" without having to jailbreak it. IMO the only reason that the Iphone is selling like it has and is because ATT and Apple dumped billions into marketing to make the name known. Now Verizon and Google open the pockets and next thing you know I have people over the age of 70 even asking me when the hot Verizon Droid is coming to town!
It's Not Just The Network But A Big +...
