They will have to physically shape the sleeve for every phone that they decide to make a sleeve for, meaning that there wont be a sleeve for every phone because it cost too much to make, thus meaning its going to be expensive. Plus its bulky and ugly.
Can someone say chapter 11 🤣

I agree, it would be more effective to just integrate solar cells into the cell phone itself. Solar cells wouldn't raise a phone's price point by that much...
...
yea most phones r not as big as the iphone and if it was design to hold the iphone then it wont work for most. i hope its not too pricy cause id like to get one. ebay ftw.
...
Hong Kong ftw. This will be knocked off in no time, at a fraction of the cost 🙂
...
🤣 yeah but whats the warranty on it and good job with customer service

I am confused as to what you mean that they have to physically shape the sleeve for every phone? Well, for the Iphone there really won't be too much of a hassle to shape since the models are roughly the same. Do you mean "every" phone individually? And the cost really depends on the person. I, for one can either do an early upgrade and get the 32 3gs for 100 more, which entitles it to a better battery life, and be faster. Now depending on the cost, let us just say that this charge is 100-150 dollars. I still think that this would be very beneficial to Iphone 3g users since I could not last a business day with everything turned on and I hate having to go back and forth to turn settings on or off. For unlimited battery juice, I believe it migh...

In addition to all of the other costs of the iPhone, assumed and unassumed, I think what he is saying is that iPhone customer are the least logical to target.
...
The least logical? They should be the most logical. Would you agree that the Iphone has one of the most massive accessory selection compared to other phones? Aside from the strong sells and battery related issues, the Iphone is avery logical decision based on all the third party accessories out there.

I mean its hard ware, so its not like you can just change the interface with a adapter like universal chargers. Meaning that they will have to make a different model type for every different phone because phones are shaped differently. I.E. the charger for the Iphone will be different for the Palm Pre, and the Blackberry Tour and so on and on. thats going to get pricey for them especially if its not a success. 😕
...
True, But they did mention that as of right now, it is initially for blackberry and iphone devices. They probably won't travel off and venture into open seas until they see the reaction of their product with BB and Iphone users. Side, keep this in mind, they probably do not have to make devices for other phone. The only need to make these for the IP and BB and still be profitable.
...
I don't see that happening because even if you add up the alternatives its still a cheaper route.
I.E.
I have a home charger, I buy a car charger, and I buy a extra charger for work... Thats still will be cheaper and just has effective if not more then this Solar powered charger.
...
Apparently you do not have an Iphone or a BlackBerry. 😲
...
I don't but still all you should need is three chargers.
Home, office, and car. still a cheaper route then buying this useless bulky crap.
Other then being able to say you have a "Different" or "Cool" charger, what would out weight getting three cheap chargers?
...
id rather have the solar one cause u can bring it anywhere with light and charge it. i only use 2 chargers anyway cause i dont need a car charger at all.
...
this is a really cool idea, maybe interchangeable ports to plug into instead of cradle style would be good
