Verizon to Open GPS on Samsung Omnia
Just in time to move in with the Omnia 2?
Let's all hope so. It's mid-July and as each day passes it seems like the "anonymous tip" about Omnia 2 coming to Verizon in July is baloney.

I feel bad for those who have not had there GPS unlocked yet. As I've had my Omnia unlocked for at least a good month. Verizon was a bit $hitty to there customers to lock it in the first place as it was intend not to be locked. I love my Omnia so much I'm willing to wait for the dramatic price drop for the Omnia 2. Also because I'm sure I can up grade to windows mobile 6.5 way before verizon even lets users! 🙄

I'm happy there is enough competition in the market to force Verizon to unlock the gps capabilites.
Just think it's pretty stupid to take this long and not unlock the older phones.
