Union Authorizes Strike Against AT&T
SO WHAT IF WE WANT TO STRIKE
It is not our fault that people have crappie jobs or don’t even have a Job…WE do and we want more for putting up with customers like you people so get over it.
So we have a job were we can strike and you don’t get over it….
Sorry you make minimum wage!!! Whose fault is that you took the job.
No matter what anyone says if you could strike to get more for your family you would just because you took some job were you ask do you want fries, or any job that is cutting back or even if you lost your job SORRY choose better next time.

thats what im talking about homes...I could care less about people out thier that dont have jobs, im a COR employee too, and all I care about is me and my family. We are striking so we dont loose our jobs and make the economy worse, the company is raising our sales goals and paying us less, so the comapny is indirectly trying to fire employees because they arent hitting thier already crazy sales goals.

Well I don't work for cor but I do customer service for at&t and I don't care about you cor guys at all. Sorry to say but if you don't want a job with so much pressure why are you in SALES? Those types of jobs require you to hit a certain limit and if the company says you have to make more why are you surprised? The only thing this possible strike means to me is that my department is going to get slammed because the cor people are all on strike and not taking any calls.

What I meant is that cor cs reps get paid more than what someone in one of the outsourced centers get paid. They also get better benefits than us so they can't really expect sympathy for wanting to make more money. Its good to say they are doing this for their family etc etc but if that were true they would shut up and be glad they still have a job instead of risking being layed off/fired/outsourced. Times are hard and while customer service (imo) is a crap job, the money is ok considering all we do is answer the phone all day and listen to customers whine and act like their cellphone is the center of the universe and they will die if they can't access the internet on their iphone.

I undserstand how you feel, but the point is that we actually have a voice in the matter, I'm sure if the company decided to pay you less for doing the same job and you had a chance to fight it you would. Thats exactly what we are doing. The company is raising our goals, and paying us less to hit those goals, most of the money we make comes from our sales, and thats why we have such a problem with it

Wow, how did you manage to get that job? Maybe you should find out why you might strike. Its not so you dont "loose" your job. I know you meant lose but you can slide. You are striking because you want better compensation and better benefits. If I was on the verge of losing my job, I wouldnt strike. Thats just asking to be fired. You should do a little more research. Oh yea, dont forget your bolt-ons!

You'll be out of a job, but do I care? Nope. All I care about is AT&T dying, as will their contract with Apple. Then maybe I can get a damn iPhone with Sprint.
And by the way, most people do not make minimum wage. Usually just losers who have never bothered to try to do anything and high school students get paid minimum wage. I've been working since I was 16 and have always made more than minimum wage.

I also a cor store employee, the fact is ATT and wants to take away everything cause of the state of economy an cause they think they can. They want to give us vacation with NO PAY.. Who would stand for that ? Thank god we have the union and you bitter people out there, get both sides of the story before you Judge ...

Yup! I suppose you are very lucky to have a union. I however, found the union to restrict me from using the tools that actually matter in climbing the corporate ladder. Thanks to knowing when to extract myself from that grip, I am very successful. I also made the necessary sacrifices to gain restitution. While my position maybe a minority, the tools used to gain the interest...

How do you know what AT&T is offering to us ? What facts do you have ? Just because other's have lost there jobs doesn't make anything they offer us a good thing. I am having my pay cut in half , you don't think that is worth fighting for to some degree ? You think I should work, to give all my hard work to AT&T to keep most all profits ? and i can assure you that reps of other wireless companies don't care about what you think either. having come from the big blue originally, i can say that i hope for a good outcome for my friends there still. but as an indirect verizon rep, i can only benefit from the beaucracy bestowed upon you by att and cwa. i was much happier before the cwa came into the picture. the cwa is just as bad as any bad company out there.
