Yes but this allows you to compare prices of this LOCALLY. There has been many times when I am at one store wondering if I could have gotten it cheaper at the store down the street.

The G1 is going to have a similar feature, there's a program you take a picture of the barcode, and of course the G1 has GPS so it knows where you are, it then goes on the internet and compares prices. I think that is so cool. It sure would be nice if such an app could be downloaded onto any camera/GPS equipped handset!
