i can't believe it has to take congress to change this. it should be a given for safety.

hopefully other cities will get it soon.

how is this a safety issue? the nyc subway has been in operation for over 100 years and no one back then said "i need a cell phone on the subway for safety".

i'd actually be more concerned with the possibility that a terrorist could plant a bomb on a train and use a cell phone as a remote detonator. not to mention the ahole next to me who thinks that there life is so important that they must be on a cell phone all day long.
