The Cell Ranger only boosts the incoming signal - nothing outgoing. I haven't researched this particular Wilson product - but typically Wilson products work on both the incoming and outgoing transmissions.

Sprint's Airave by samsung does the same thing for $100 retail, and gives you unlimited callling from calls placed within range of the device for that users account

This is ideally more for those who don't have sprint and/or wanna use it In their car or office or whereever else.
