Nortel Moving Away from WiMAX

Nortel is re-focusing on its core business, cell phone equipment. It should be able to churn out better LTE equipment faster because it can throw more resources at it. WiMax was a "distraction" for Nortel, as it spread Nortel's focus on different things.

Among others, Nortel via their partnership with Alvarion will continue to manufacture WiMAX products.
