I'm not an Iphone user but this is great news for those who are. That way you have a wider range of programs available to you. Not just the boring old ones from Apple.

Yeah, that's just what I want to do. Take a great device, with a great interface and ruin it with M$ bloatware. If you want Office, best stick to WM.

Some form of iWork or OpenOffice would be amazing - I suspect that we will see that, though, as the invite specifically mentions Enterprise functions. To me, that means either expanded enterprise email server support (which isn't that hard to do), better document reading/editing support, or both.

I'm excited by this: the iPhone is cool, but far too closed off for my taste (and on a minimum $60 a month plan? Yuck), so I've been longing for a Nokia N800, but I don't want something else that isn't also a phone.

With this SDK, the iPhone can move squarely into the PDA/mobile computer territory, maybe even as a mobile gaming platform as well. Depending on what they come out with right away (ie - if it supports Skpye, copy & paste, and a ...
