๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ no not really, i hate it, if you dont like text messages beeing charged to you, then tell your friends to quit texting you, some people just love to sue for anything, im surprised those people didnt sue their parents for giving them life, or maybe they have tried....

You get charged for spam text messages too, and you can't control those. It's not nearly as simple as you're trying to make it sound.

Right and as if a consumer can control everyone else. This isn't a matter of telling your friends to not text you, it is a matter of T-Mobile not allowing the blocking of texting which illustrates the intense terrible greed of these companies. (This one being T-Mobile)
T-Mobile, also, BTW, sends welcome to T_mobile messages and charges for those as well.

T-mobile sends those messages but they are free! They also send ones for someone who is past due (free as well) they send them to help you reset your voice mail password (free again) and some to tell you how many min or texts you have used. (once more these are free too)

It IS easy and there are a few ways to stop texts from getting to your phone. Either the company should do it (which in this case they are NOT able to) or the 3rd party sms has some way to contact them by replying STOP to the message. T-mobile deserves to be sued if they can't do something as simple as stopping sms from going to a phone...

Well, as you can see I am on both sides with this suit. I think they should be able to stop them, but every week there is a new way to send them and in my area there are mass spam texts sent out. Since the cell numbers are registered to t-mo, people can find that out and they have computer programs send out mass spam saying things like "Looking for a new phone? respond either yes or no for a list of upgrade discounts" When people say yes or no they then get spammed everyday for some Internet deal price or program. Things like these happen all the time. T-mo does offer to black list (perm stop the number sending it) but computers or people sending them can just change that number and start all over. Hence, its a pain in the ass ...

I used to work for T-Mobile and I set up spam filters for many customers, I wonder why this didn't happen to these people?

spam filters were not set up becuase the rep they delt with is iether A) an idiot or B) really does not care for return business. think about it, filtering is something that every rep knows about and most of them just neglect to offer any information on it because they don't care. i got your money now leave is what most reps mind frame is.

There is a differnece between premium sms (which can be stopped by replying) and spam txt. Spam is generated by a dedicated spam email server and there is no charge other than the messaging rate to receive it. But if you reply, you're basically telling the spam computer that your number is legit, and you'll get ten times more spam. Spam also com...

Well I feel that there is ground for the suit. Because over 70% of cell phone numbers have been used before. Most people who i talk to who have had this problem are getting them from someone who knows the previous user or something. More then half are from when someone signs up for spam (jokes, or sports news etc...) they will always send them till you tell them to stop. Maybe i am wrong, i have just been in wireless sales for 7 years...

I like the idea of only allowing people who are in the phone book to text. My wife has tmob and we don't seem to have this problem but then again she doesn't go to any of those crappy web sites and never never gives out her phone #; only tmob sends unsoliceted texts.

I think its funny when i get someone in the store who tells me that i dont know how i am getting chargd for this $4.99 or $9.99 charge on my bill. They always say no i didnt text anything or sign up for anything. After a little searching i always find the text they sent and then i hear, well i thought it was free. PEOPLE come on! What in life is free anymore? NOTHING! But i bet i'll have someone in here soon with the same song and dance. well till then.....
