Good riddance to bad apples, Hesse knows what he's doing! A fresh start is the only way to fix Sprint's issues. Sprint is a great company with fantastic products, time to capitalize on all the positives!

Yeah he does. He turned AT&T around. You were stable in AT&T when he was there.

I am hopeful for new change. The old guys were just make you crazy with some of the policy decisions. Now Hopefully the new changes will bring Sprint back around again.

Sprint is here for the long haul. I would be surprised if its bought out. I have heard during my many years, Sprint is going under or they are getting bought out. Usually pure wishfull thinking on their part.

We get bashed alot. (inside and outside) We are still here.

I think Hesse will turn this ship around. Sprint has an outstanding network plus with the release of Qchat on the horizon that should help a lot. He will fix customer service then start advertising Sprint's advantages and products!

Sprint is a sinking ship. Only way they turn around is if JC himself came down and took the company over. Short of that....they are screwed. I hope Alltel buys them out.

Sprint owns a ton of radio spectrum they might get bought out, but I doubt it. Sprint is the only carrier with PTT that isn't push to wait like verizon and att. Many government agencies rely heavily on this, bottom line is Sprint's network is extremely large and reliable, it's not going anywhere!!

Nextel has PTT not Sprint. Sprint just OWNS Nextel. They're still two seperate networks. Sprint's PTT is as slow also.

ummm I know...when you carry a hybrid phone you tend to forget that...ic902 best phone ever!!! Ready link wasn't a huge success I know that, but Qchat will solve that! screaming latency!

Well, that's partially true:

PTT isn't horrible, however, its mainly a niche for blue collar. It did make Nextel, and Boost is the other half.

I suspect that Sprint may sell off a part, or all of its WiMAX spectrum (spinoff)

Sprint's network is far from 'extremely large'.
Verizon Wireless,
AT&T
Alltel
all have larger native coverage areas than Sprint.

Sinking ship? Not at all. There has been some damage but it is not terminal. Sprint is on the forefront of many things. They often seem to get places first and then others out market them and take the credit. The former management team made some powerful mistakes but the company is solvent and makes money.

Dan Hesse is going to bring a level of competence and professionality to Sprint that they have never had before. He does it everywhere he goes.

whoa! what a big sweep! i guess one of the two contact centers which is working as a vendor for sprint will be eliminated as well. that's either NCO or Etelecare(where i work). we just got an alert from our clients(sprint/nextel) wanting us to beat the hell out of each other to see which is a better vendor for sprint and they gave us 30 days prove it. i guess vendors like us are next in the guillotine.

What company? Cvg used to provide most of the outsourced customer care for Sprint. My outsourced company is safe. 😁

All these pro sprint threads are hurting the eyes... Sprint nailed themseleves in when they purchased Nextel an already sinking ship. I would never, ever join a Wireless provider who sends out "Dear Jon" letter's telling you that their terminating the wireless service.. Great CS there!.

I don't mean to be rude when I ask you this, WTF are you talking about Dear Jon letters? The whole sprint terminating service with people who abused a system? Ohh, and FYI, I was informed that more than half the people terminated were not on sprints wireless network but their land line services for LD. But if you didn't know this, all companies have this practice. If you call in X number of times about t...
