Moto on VZW

Moto needs to take control of the software Verizon puts on their phones. The VZW UI makes all the Moto phones so slow they are barely usable! I have had 4 Moto phones on VZW in the last 4 years, all have mechanically functioned great. With the exception of the RAZR v3m that flat out broke two times, the only issue I have ever had is a slow UI on all VZW Moto phones after the e815! Because the UI is so slow, and gets slower as the phone gets older, VZW customers believe that the Moto product is bad. Hopefully this issue will be cured with the new Google UI that VZW should be adopting.

Moto grow some bal!s and tell VZW to take their crappy UI off your phones!

Thank you!.. That VZW interface is so horrible, so dull it's boring to even look at.

Frankly, that's Motorola's problem. Every other manufacture that uses that same interface (read: Samsung, LG) is able to make it speedy. Same goes for the Sprint user interface. It's not entirely verizon's fault...

yes it is. Verizon makes the UI not moto. Don't try and put it on MOTO. They make a standered UI and its the carrier that chooses to use it or not.

ATT's UI sucks too. My V9m lets me choose between the moto UI or Sprints (which is good). The UI on the V9 (ATT) is awful by comparison. Havn't had the VZW version but I've heard enough. BTW what made all the V3m models so slow wasn't the UI but underpowered processors. That was MOTO's fault which they've fixed with the RAZR2.

No, AT&T doesn't have a UI, they use the manufacturer installed one. True, they preload all the phones with links to MediaNet & Video share and other AT&T proprietary stuff on there, but the UI depends on the manufacturer. I'm pretty sure only Verizon has a standard UI on all their phones.

Could be. They all look very close to me though and are terrible to use.

That's like blaming Microsoft because your brand new Dell (or HP or whatever) runs vista slow.

I'm not the biggest fan of the VZW UI, but Moto needs to either sh*t or get off the pot. Either make some phones that can handle the UI or flat out refuse to sell phones on Verizon's network.
