I don't know about that - Motorola's phones are typically rated the best on this board for Reception and Call Quality. Maybe a new CEO will cut costs by reducing those. :-(

Maybe the new CEO will insist in something that is not a derivative of the RAZR - perhaps an actual new design. A pipe dream I'm sure - but one can always hope! 😁

Thank you, this is typical for Motorola, they land a hot item (the startac, the v60, the razor) and milk it until they lose the battle. Nokia, Samsung, Lg come out with many new items and keep the market fresh. That is why Motorola is now third.

Also, Zander screws Motorola, leaves and takes his millions in salary and the employees are the ones that suffer.

I tend to disagree. I believe that this is coming from the onslaught of all of the problems they had with the v3. The newer products, including the v3xx, seem to be much more reliable. The problem, it seems, is that they seem to have lost some customer loyalty due to this. Also, all of they're products seem to be higher end, and with the talk of recession, nobody is willing to pay up to get better quality. Also, Samsung seems to be able to put out decent (not quite the quality of Moto) handsets at a much lower price point, which is good for the times.

That's my opinion.

A very good point about the cost. I sincerely regret that the contemporary consumer market is so driven toward cheap phones like the samsungs and lgs. The result is that very high quality, beautiful phones like the Razr2 get overlooked by these consumers in favor for the cheaper garden variety samsung or lg. Times have changed and Moto has struggled to keep up. They have had trouble producing a good low-cost phone which is so important. I just hope the new leadership will take this issue head on and not sell out a company with an excellent heretage.

Really? People still own Razrs and buy Razr2's? Motorola's designs are for the most part, outdated and the user interface is terrible. With the exception of the Q. Hopefully they realize that people don't want razr rip offs, I mean really did we need 5 different V3's?

Motorola has been known for flooding the market with different versions of the same phone and people getting bored with them. The market today is full of people who are upgrading and want phones to do things that their friends' phones do not.

They come out with great phones, the V60 and the razr were great when they came out, they get great publicity in Hollywood and everyone still loves the Motorola name. The problem is that they need to be more creative, come out with new phones to keep the consumer wanting to buy more. LG and Samsung do it, why can't Motorola.
