Yea, the BB is the only PDA thats going to get you the GPS and pushthrough e-mail. The Palm or Windows based PDA's don't do pushthrough unless you use a Microsoft exchange server for your e-mail.

Except that the GSP is crippled/disabled for use with anything other than VZNavigator, which I believe to date is still not available for the Blackberry. You can use Telenav with it but, according to their website, you still have to purchase a separate BT GPS receiver to work with it since VZW disabled the ONBOARD chip.
How's that for a business model? Maybe all those "network" dorks from the commercials will follow you around and give you directions. 🤣

That "Maybe all those "network" dorks from the commercials will follow you around and give you directions." was funny, way, way funny!!!
I love it when people bash Verizon!!!
Though I gotta say, that LG Voyager handset is so cool. It really is!!!

I agree. I think it may be a nifty device, but it sure isn't the "answer to the iPhone" that Verzion promised. Speculation was VZW was going to pick up the LG Prada, which was going to kill the iPhone spec wise. However, I understand that the American version of that seems to be going to.....????? Can you guess....????? AT&T!!! (Shocker, eh?)
I don't mean to bash Verizon really. I just really think they are stiffing some very loyal customers who've soaked a lot of money into their service and seem to be getting little, if any, consideration back when it comes to providing them with the quality, high tech handsets they deserve.

OK...let's straighten this one out.
VZNavigater is now being offered on the BB8830.
VZW has not crippled GPS on their devices. The fact that the GPS data in the phone is not available for 3rd party apps has to do with the GPS solution chosen by VZW. Unlike most other carriers, VZW chose to implement GPS based on the built in functionality on the Qualcomm chipsets rather than add a dedicated SIRF chipset to the handsets. 3rd parties wishing to use the Qualcomm chipset GPS must pay royalties to Qualcomm for the APIs. It also requires quite a significant development and testing effort with support from Qualcomm and the handset vendor. I doubt many 3rd parties are willing to undertake this level of effort for a relatively meager payback. You c...

The 8925 tilt is the only windows mobile device to allow blackberry Connect

AND RUNS ON AT&T's network!!

Yeah, the Tilt is the only one that I know of that can fill that bill that is currently available. It does it quite well to. Take it from a loooooong time power user.

The i760 was supposed to have GPS. However, there is no mention of GPS capability on Verizon's website. It looks like VZW has disabled the GPS. Maybe I'll be able to find a hack and turn it back on.
...
BabyDoc is right. The i760 does not have "true" GPS - it has "tower based" location services. I looked on the Garmin and Tom-Tom websites and both sites require the purchase of a bluetooth enabled GPS device in addition to their software for the i760 to work wit their software. Oh well.

sounds like an expensive way to get GPS with the phone. ☹️
